Recurring Payment Authorization
What you agree to when you turn on autopay, and how to stop it.
Version 2026-10-draft-1 · Last updated September 25, 2026
Two kinds of autopay
- Plan autopay pays one recurring plan (for example monthly dues) each time a payment is due.
- Trusted autopay pays new charges from a group in the categories you pick (for example membership and events), up to a maximum per charge and a maximum per month that you set.
Autopay only exists if you turn it on. A group can never start automatic charges by itself.
The authorization you agree to
When you turn on autopay, MyClub shows you — and saves with your authorization, together with the date and time — wording like this:
- Plan: "I authorize Riverside Soccer Club to automatically charge my Visa •••• 4242 for "Monthly dues" each time a payment is due, until I cancel autopay in MyClub."
- Trusted: "I authorize Riverside Soccer Club to automatically charge my Visa •••• 4242 for new charges up to $100.00 each and $200.00 per month, in the categories I selected, until I cancel autopay in MyClub."
The group's name, the plan, your limits and your payment method in the wording are the ones you chose. The authorization can't be changed afterward — a new agreement means a new authorization, and we email you a copy each time.
Before each charge
We email you before each automatic charge — by default at least 24 hours ahead — with the amount and the payment method. For trusted autopay you can choose to skip this heads-up. You're never charged more than the notice said, more than your per-charge limit, or more than your monthly limit.
Stopping or changing autopay
- Pause or cancel autopay any time in the app (Wallet / Payment methods). Canceling before a charge is made stops that charge.
- Removing the payment method turns off autopay that uses it.
- Autopay stops automatically if you leave the group or delete your account, and pauses if your membership becomes inactive.
- If a charge fails, we'll email you and ask you to update your payment method; after repeated failures autopay pauses.
Bank accounts
For bank-account autopay, you also authorize Stripe, on the group's behalf, to debit your account for each payment under the mandate you accepted when you saved the account. Bank payments take a few business days and can be returned.
